Hey Iori I've just been looking at the joins between the ears and the hair in your images. I think the slight blur is the think that keeps these from being more realistic. Maybe if you grab a hair texture or brush you can paint in a sharper transition. It is damned tricky though with so much texture to create by hand.

well, It was a cat's tail I used from a stock image, but I guess the trasformation tool messed it up a little when I was fiddling with the demetions. BTW it was a Simese cat I used.
