- and then this thread can be deleted. I wanted to ask where Nekomimichan stands on the subject of "monster girls," as they have come to be known. You know, things like Mermaids and Harpies and Lamia and such. I've been curious for quite some time as to whether such content was too distant from the main theme of this site. My question in a nutshell is this: "Should 'monster girls' be posted on this site, and if so, where?"

As I see it, there are four possibilities:

1. The content doesn't fit - don't post it
2. The content fits - post it in /k/
3. The content fits - post it in /b/
4. The content is acceptable, and of broad enough scope to warrant a new board

This majority of this post is directed towards Kitkat, but anybody else who wants to chip in may do so. Otherwise, questions and opinions are welcome.

Oh, and feel free to poke fun at me if it looks like I drastically over-analyzed this question. That's just my way.

I was going to point out the huge monstergirls thread on /k/ but I noticed it was your thread in the first place. So I don't know.

The continued life and relative popularity of that very thread is actually one of the main reasons I'm asking this question to begin with. If the content is deemed acceptable, I could easily picture a number of new threads being created for the various broad categories of monster girls out there. I was worried that, if told to stick them in /k/ or /b/, the volume of such threads would threaten to "dilute" these boards (for example, a disproportionate number of threads that aren't strictly kemonomimi in /k/'s case).

That said, I think option 1 (don't post monster girls) and option 4 (create a monster girl board) seem most plausible. It mostly hinges on Kitkat and Kitten's decision as to whether "monster girls" are too distant from all of the Neko content to fit comfortably in Nekomimichan.

Kitkat and I will talk about this tonight. I personally would be comfortable with putting in a new page for it, but it needs to be a mutual decision.

Hopefully we should be back to you in a couple of hours. I have to wait for him to come home so we can discuss it.

<3 Much love

Thank you kindly for both your consideration and timely response. By all means, take all the time you need to reach a mutual agreement. And if you find you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I talked it over with Kitten, Personally I think that monster girls can fit in /k/ no one there seems to object but I can add a board for them if you suggest a title for it.

I understand what you mean about /k/. As I consider the arguments, however, a new board is sounding more and more like the better option. Anyhow, as far as a name for such a board is concerned, I suppose something simple like /mg/ for Monster Girls would work out well enough.

Monster GIRLs limits things more though. I propose ROWR board. Go /rowr/!/ But this is you thread and idea. :3

Huzzah indeed! The board is most appreciated, Kitkat and Kitten. Monster girl kind gives you its thanks.

Incidentally, I'll be needing your help again to make sure everything ends up where it needs to, so you'll have that to look forward to. In the mean time, I'll be making sure that /mg/ grows into the board I always imagined it could be.

I have another question for you, Kitkat and Kitten. This one is... Much more awkward than the last. The short, selfish version is that I am looking to acquire the ability to lock and unlock threads within /mg/. I have little to no grasp of the mechanics behind *chans, so I don't really know if this is possible. And even if it is, I can't be the one to decide if it's advisable.

The reason I'm asking this out of nowhere is because of the monster girl profile thread currently in /k/. As you may or may not know, I'm planning on reposting and maintaining the thread in /mg/. With the ability to lock and unlock threads, I could keep the thread in a much more orderly state for the benefit of all of its patrons. For any other thread, it would be a "why bother?" scenario, but this particular thread isn't even three months younger than this entire site, and it's still running as strong as can be.

I realize that I'm overstepping my bounds here - by, well, a lot - but I always figure that it never hurts to ask. The ability for someone other than you to (un)lock threads just seemed like the best way to keep a very popular thread in better order without forcing it to be your problem.

So, sorry to thrust this on you all of a sudden, and thanks in advance for your consideration. I hope I'm not asking something I shouldn't have.

I'll try and get kitkat to sort something out tomorrow. Today was more than hectic. Could take a couple of days to get our shit together.
I think it is a good idea, and if you would like to be a moderator for that page I would be more than happy.

Thanks for your patience.
